BeLoved Asheville believes in the perspective that we gain when we know that we are loved and we see others as equally loved. That is the knowledge of our belovedness. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. calls the place where there is no longer the oppressed and the oppressor but each are reconciled to each other–“the beloved community.”
When we know we are loved, we gain the insight and energy needed to accept ourselves and grow in positive ways. We develop the compassion and creativity to make a difference in the world. We develop mutual care for each other and come together in our diversity to create a better community for ALL!
